Adjustable Pallet Racking APR
Adjustable Pallet Racking APR
Pallet racking is mainly used to store pallets but is also used for unpalletized loads such as drums, tyres and oversized objects.
For the pallet size 1000 x 1200mm the 2700mm beam is used to store two pallets on its beam level. Designed to allow 100mm safe clearance gap between pallets and uprights for forklift drivers to acess pallets. Typical beams ULD loading of 2000kg is common based on two 1000kg pallets.
For the pallet size 1000 x 800mm the 2700mm beam is used to store three pallets on its beam level. Designed to allow 75mm safe clearance gap between pallets and uprights for forklift drivers to acess pallets. Typical beams ULD loading of 2500kg is common based on three 800kg pallets.
Other other popular beam sizes are available typically 1350mm half size beams for one 1200mm pallet. But 2400, 2500, 3000, 3300. 3500 are commoonn beam sizes to allow the racking to be taylored to the type, size, orentation and size of load stored on each pallet.
Typical pallet spacings between beams or floor tends to to be the height of the pallet plus 100mm. The number of pallets stored in a bay tends to be between 3 and 6 levels height
Frame widths tend to be 900 and 1100 wide. 900 franes are used to store 1000 d pallets deigned to overhang pallet 50mm outside frames and 1100 frames are for 1200 deep pallets.
Adjustment on uprights varies between 50, 75 and 100mm pitch to space beam levels apart to fit the number of pallets stored.
Additional safety features are availble to the protect the racking, pallets and opertives.
For example
Upright protection, bolted or upright fixed
Anti collapse mesh and netting to prevent pallets falling from height
Barriers to protect against impact damage and safeguard walkways
Mesh decking and timber decks to prevent against pbjrcts falling from height or pallets falling through racks.
