A common problem is making existing paper-based data, such as archive boxes, secure and accessible only to designated users.

OfficeSTOR offered a free site survey to better understand the problem, and was invited to devise a solution for converting an existing storage area fit for future purpose.

The PROBLEM

The organization had a two-tier shelving system that needed to be upgraded or replaced, with the aim of storing sensitive data.

The area needed to be secured with access limited to designated users, whilst keeping the open shelf design.

Allowing for access of an existing 2.6-meter high safety step ladder was an added requirement to ensure personnel safety when accessing higher shelves.

We came up with a tailor-made easy, safe and secure solution - something which simply could not be provided via an online purchase.

Our SOLUTION

We installed a bespoke system  2.8-metres 50 x 50 mesh panels with 2.7m high doors for all aisles, along with inset mesh panels on the end frames of the existing shelves.

This offered security without reducing aisle width. Instead of cumbersome padlocks, we fitted doors with keyed locks.

The safety steps  were fitted within the height of the doors for easy and safe access to all racks.  Result: a simple, cost-effective upgrade. Data protection needn't be expensive.
