Our client required a storage solution that would maxumize space, offer flexibilty for changing needs and was robust and hard wearing. It also had to have barrier and mesh protection for people and racks.

Also required was a bench for receiving, packing and dispatch of goods as well as lighter-duty industrial shelving for miscellaneous items.  

The layout had to cater for

• High levels of pallet storage.  
• Long span racking for picking parts for orders. These racks to have mesh decks to cater for all sizes of parts. Mesh also offeres better light and water ingress in case of fire.
• Anti-collapse mesh on pallet racking to safeguard order pickers.
• Forkift protection on pallet racking uprights and corners. 
• Barrier protection on end of runs
• Walkway barrier to separate forklift and pedestrian areas to better segregate traffic areas.

Officestor supplied pallet racking generally throughout.  This offered flexibilty, robustness and simplicity for future use. A small amount of  lighter duty industrial shelving was provided for bench area for smaller items.

Heavy duty mesh decks were supplied. as they could be used throughout to cater for standard and non-standard pallets as well as picking racks. A bench was contructed from pallet racking as it was ecomical and strong.

Protection for racking and operators was acheived with anti-collapse mesh on high racks to safegaurds against items falling from height. Also mesh ends fitted on lower picking racks to enclose ends and  stop items from falling out.

Barriers and hand rails were fitted to separate forklift and pedestrian areas to protect against accidents .  And upright guards fitted to individual uprights to safeguard against forklift and pallet damage.
